Media - Level 3 at College of West Anglia
Are you interested in a career in the television and film industry? If so, this course is for you! The level 3 in media will give you a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes that are essential for success in higher education and employment.You will gain an excellent insight into the industry and work in our purpose built TV studio, with industry standard cameras, auto cue, virtual studio software and a specialist editing suite.The course involves a 'hands-on' practical approach in learning skills including:
- Camera skills
- Interview techniques and script writing
You will need:
- 5 or more GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or higher, including English, Maths and a creative-based subject
- A relevant Level 2 qualification
The work on the course is project/assignment based, and assessment is continuous throughout the course. Some units will be subject to external assessment. The units in the first two terms are assessed at Pass grade only. The final unit is awarded a grade of Pass, Merit or Distinction. This unit is achieved through a personal proposal and decides the overall grade for the qualification.
