Engineering - Level 2 (Extended Certificate) at College of West Anglia

Course description

This level 2 engineering course will provide you with a good level of knowledge and understanding of the basic engineering techniques used within the sector. Areas you will study will include:- Engineering Materials- Welding- Electronic Circuit ConstructionDuring the course you will cover a range of topics, such as:- The Engineered world- Investigating an Engineered Product - Interpreting and Using engineering information- Mathematics for engineering technicians - Health and Safety- Engineering Maintenance - Engineering materials - Machining Techniques - Electronic Circuit Design - Construction Welding

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at D (3) or above including maths and English. You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Assessment

You will be assessed continually throughout the course using a range of methods, such as phase tests, assignments and practical tests, two of these are externally tested whilst the remainder are internally set and marked at the college.
