A-Level Programme - Economics at College of West Anglia

Course description

Our A-Level in Economics helps you to develop your knowledge and understanding of how to analyse, interpret and evaluate subject information. You will study:

  • The economic problem
  • Competitive markets
  • Production and efficiency
  • Government intervention in the market
  • Macroeconomic performance
  • Economic performance
  • The labour market

Entry requirements

You will need:

  • 6 or more GCSEs at grade 4 (C) and above (including English)
  • Grade 6 (B) or above in Maths

Assessment

You will follow a programme which combines class teaching with small group work, discussion, video material, IT and research projects. Homework will be regularly set to aid learning and develop self-study skills.
