Level 2 in Children & Young People's Workforce at MidKent College

Course description

This is a work-based qualification where you will need to be in employment and sponosored by your employer or be doing voluntary work or a work experience in a work placement setting.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English or maths at grade D/3 or above.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this course could lead to further study at level 3. You could also progress straight into employment at a junior level or on to an apprenticeship. There are a range of career prospects for those with qualifications in childcare including: Activity Play Worker, Residential Children's Worker, Nursery Worker, Childminder, Special Educational Needs Assistant,Pre-school advisor, Manager.

Further information

All MidKent College students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a Work Placement of up to 350 hours in a role relevant to your study. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.
