Course description

If you can stand the heat and love to cook, step into our professional standard kitchens and serve up a five-star career in hospitality and catering.Educational visits to hotels, markets and overseas destinations will provide you with a memorable learning experience and help you strive to achieve your ultimate goals.This is also an ideal course for those already working in the industry who wish to extend their food and beverage skills, as well as for mature students wishing to change careers.Practical work experience will also be provided in one of the College's fine dining eateries The McLeods Restaurant.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English or maths at grade D/3 or above.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the course will significantly improve your employment prospects in the hospitality and catering business, both at home and abroad. Alternatively, you may progress to an apprenticeship or further study on the level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery course.
