Students who take BTEC Music:

· Have a love of music, enjoy working independently and also as part of a team.

· Enjoy the challenge of rehearsing and performing.

· Like composing your own music and listening to a wide variety of musical styles/genres.

· Enjoy project-based practical assessments.

What Next?

The Extended Certificate is equivalent in size to one A-Level and is recognised by UCAS.

This course is useful for any student who wishes to take their popular musical studies further (such as a degree or apprenticeship music). 

It is also a good subject to accompany more theoretical subjects to ensure a broad and balanced range of qualifications.

Due to the wide range of skills needed a qualification in music is highly valued by universities and employers.
