Level 2 Technical Certificate in Beauty Therapy at West Kent College

Course description

This course is designed to develop your practical skills in face, hand and feet treatments.

A sound knowledge of health and safety, anatomy and physiology underpins this qualification. Units include (but are not limited to):

• Manicure
• Pedicure
• Gel nail polish
• Facial
• Eye treatments
• Waxing
• Make up
• Salon reception duties
• Work experience
• Employer engagement

We will help you achieve a Grade C/4 in GCSE maths, if you don’t have this yet. You will need to buy specialist equipment and clothing.

Entry requirements

You will need four GCSEs at Grades D/3 or above, including English, maths and science or have achieved a full Entry 3 or Level 1 qualification previously with the college.

Your enrolment is subject to a successful interview, references and skills assessment.

Future opportunities

Progress to a Level 3 course, or work within the industry as a junior.
