Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Media Make-Up Artistry at West Kent College

Course description

Specialist preparation for work as a make-up artist in theatre, film and TV.

In our professionally equipped College salons, you will learn about health and safety, as well as client care and communication. Through work experience and practical sessions, you will master treatments such as:

• Fashion and photographic make-up
• Media make-up and creative hair design
• Creative historical looks
• Body Art
• Camouflage Make-up
• Work experience
• Employer engagement

You will need to buy specialist equipment and clothing.

Entry requirements

You will need a Level 2 Make-up qualification and five GCSEs or equivalent at Grades A*-C/9-4 including English, Mathematics, Science and one other.

Your enrolment is subject to references. You may also hold a level 2 in an arts subject.

Future opportunities

This qualification could lead into a job within the make up industry as a make-up artist in: Photographic, editorial, TV, video, freelance, specialist bridal and much more. You could also progress on to university.
