Progression Curriculum - Level 1 Diploma in Beauty at Canterbury College
The Level One Diploma in Beauty Therapy will give students the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of treatments before leading onto Level 2 programmes. The qualification will enable students to gain confidence, build knowledge and work with the local community to prepare them for the Beauty Therapy industry.
All students will complete Health and Safety, Presenting a Professional Image, Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector. Some additional units may include Manicure, Pedicure, Make up, Skincare, Face Painting, Hair Plaiting and Nail Art.
Some units are subject to change. Please be aware that all of the practical units will require student participation.
All students will be given the opportunity to participate in trips and additional courses with industry brands such as Jane Iredale and Dermalogica.
4 GCSEs grade E-G (2 or 1) including - Functional Skills English and maths Entry 3 or GCSE Grade 1 or 2
Students will complete theory coursework and practical assessments.
Progression onto Level 2 Beauty Therapy, Level 2 Media Make up or Level 2 Hairdressing.
