Site Carpentry Diploma Level 2 at Canterbury College
This course will provide you with the necessary skills to achieve a recognised qualification for working as a site carpenter in the construction industry.
This course will include modules such as: health and safety in construction, basic tools skills and maintenance, setting out joists and trusses, stud partitioning, fixing skirting and architrave, door hanging, fixing locks, manufacturing of basic joinery items, and functional skills.
4 Ds or 3s including English and Maths or a relevant full Level 1.
Students are assessed by completing a portfolio, undertaking timed online tests and carrying out observed practical tasks.
This can lead to a site carpenter role. You could also progress into Higher Education (degree-level) studies.
