UAL Level 3 Diploma in Acting Year 1 at Canterbury College
This course is equivalent to three A-Levels and focuses on developing acting skills and theories. Lessons are both theoretical and performance-based, with an element of critical analysis of productions and plays. There are opportunities to attend workshops, theatre performances in the local area and in the West End.
On the Acting Pathway you will study various acting techniques and theories including the following: improvisation, devising, working with text, vocal skills, movement skills, research into theatre practitioners and industry requirements. You will apply these skills in a range of performance opportunities to public audiences both in the Lanfranc Theatre and the wider community.
4 Cs or 4s including English and Maths.
Through a combination of written and practical assignments (including group projects and performance work).
Successful students may seek employment within the performing arts industry or progress to higher education studies or dance school/drama college.
