Site Carpentry - Intermediate Apprenticeship at Rotherham College

Course description

The Intermediate Apprenticeship programmes give you the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications whilst working within the industry.

You will be required to attend College one day a week, whilst the rest of the course is undertaken on the job in your workplace.

The Apprenticeship is made up of two components which include a technical qualification and a knowledge based qualification. Site joinery involves fitting timber roofs, floors, windows and doors on a range of on-site locations.

  • Installing first and second fixing components
  • Setting up and using circular saws and other hand and power tools
  • Maintaining non-structural carpentry work, safely moving and handling resources
  • Health and safety procedures
