This course will give you the knowledge and skills required to go on to higher education and pursue a career in this field.

Course content

Year one:

Algebra, coordinate geometry, polynomials, mathematical notation and proof, sequences and series, trigonometry, introductory calculus, logarithms, statistics, classification and presentation of data, probability, hypothesis testing.

Year two:

Proof, exponentials and natural logarithms, functions, calculus techniques, numerical methods, further algebra, further trigonometry, parametic equations, further calculus, vector geometry, comprehension, mechanics: vectors, kinematics, forces, projectiles.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths at grade 6/B or above
  • English language at grade 4/C or above
  • Three additional GCSE's at grade 4/C or above grade

Exams: 100%
