Ext. Diploma in Media Production (Radio, TV & Print) Year 1 at Canterbury College
The course has been designed in collaboration with the Canterbury Times and Heart FM, and covers TV, print, magazine and radio. You will research, plan and produce several media products including TV studio projects, radio programmes and newspaper articles. This qualification will form the main part of your Canterbury College study programme. Our study programmes combine your main qualification and work experience.
You will learn print-media production, video editing, photography, production management, radio production, TV studio production and journalism. You will also study and take an exam in at least one functional skill (English, Maths or ICT).
4 Cs or 4s including English and maths.
You will be continually assessed with practical and written assessments, group projects and production work. All units you study are graded, a final major project will determine your final grade for the qualification.
This qualification will allow you to progress to a media-related course at Higher Education (degree-level), or to pursue a career in radio, print or TV.
