Course description

Perfect if you aspire to work in the networking, web, game or software development industries.

Course content

You’ll learn a variety of skills required to progress in the IT industry. From web design to software and computer animation and networking solutions, this course will open up a wide range of IT related career options.

This Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.


Entry requirements

4 Cs or 4s including English and maths.


You will learn through practical sessions and assessment will be through demonstrating your skills, written work and online tests. 

Financial information

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.

Please note: For those claiming state working age benefit this course is classed as part-time.

Future opportunities

We offer this course as a two year Extended Diploma, equivalent to three A Levels, to further your technical learning or progress on to university or other Higher Education courses.

On successful completion of the Extended Diploma you would be able to study at a higher level on one of our HNC programmes or at university, alternatively you could progress into employment within the IT sector.
