Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship at Leeds City College

Course description

This course is aimed at students wishing to have a career in business administration. 

The course will develop your business and communication skills, preparing you for work within one of the many large organisations in Leeds or beyond. 

We will also provide training to develop your interview skills, giving you the option to apply for apprenticeship vacancies with employers such as Yorkshire Housing.

Entry requirements

College Attendance

• For Maths, English and ICT Functional Skills training and exams.

Assessment

The apprenticeship is aligned to professional recognition from Employers within the Business Sector.

The end-point assessment is synoptic and takes place at the end of the apprentice’s learning and development, after a minimum of 12 month’s on programme learning.

It will consist of a knowledge test (20%), a structured portfolio based interview (40%), and a project/improvement presentation (40%), which is carried out after the apprentice has met the required criteria to pass the Gateway process.

The apprenticeship is graded a pass, distinction or fail based on performance in the end-point assessment.

Future opportunities

On completion, apprentices may choose to register with the Institute of Administrative Management to support their professional career development and progression.
