Network Engineer Higher at Baltic Training

Course description

This Network Engineer apprenticeship will give you the knowledge and understanding to install and manage enterprise-level networks. You will go through a number of CompTIA courses and learn about advanced networking techniques such as subnetting, server virtualisation and planning for network security issues and disaster recovery. You will know how to monitor and optimise network performance levels while ensuring that common risks and vulnerabilities are planned for and protected against.

Course Content:

The modules in this apprenticeship include:

  • Networking Principles
    (4 days training through Online Live + 1 day exam)
  • Networking Systems & Architecture
    (4 days training through Online Live + 1 day exam)
  • Network Security
    (4 days training through Online Live + 1 day exam)

MTA:

  • Mobility & Device Fundamentals
    (4 days training through Online Live + 1 day exam)
  • Cloud Fundamentals
    (4 days training through Online Live + 1 day exam)

You will also complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) which includes: External Assessment, Synoptic Project, and Interview.

The training is delivered using a variety of methods, including Online Live, workshops and self-study. You will receive assessor contact every 6 weeks which will be a full progress review we encourage all managers and mentors to participate in this progress review.

Towards the end of your apprenticeship the assessor will provide final contact sessions to prepare your apprentice for EPA.

Courses will run typically every 12-14 weeks, and the order of the modules
can be subject to change.

The exams associated with the apprenticeship standard programmes will be delivered in the nearest test centre.

Baltic Training do not deliver training in isolation. In addition to the experience gained through meaningful employment you will develop key business skills which will strengthen your employability within any chosen path.
