IT Professional Higher at Baltic Training

Course description

This apprenticeship builds upon the knowledge and skills learnt on the level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent. You will complete modules that prepare you for project management and IT systems development, ensuring that thorough planning, testing and integration is completed. You will complete courses based on Windows Server 2012 and Virtualisation, allowing you to function with the vital tools of today’s networks. You will also consider how to interact with various customers in a professional manner while working on emerging technologies.

Course Content:

The modules in this apprenticeship include:

  • Level 4 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
  • Level 4 Higher Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
  • Systems Development
  • Project Management and Effective Communication
  • Emerging Technologies
  • Data Communications and Networking Technologies
  • ICT Virtualisation
  • Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012

The training is delivered using a variety of methods, including Online Live, workshops and self-study. You will receive assessor contact every 6 weeks which will be a full progress review, we encourage all managers and mentors to participate in this progress review.

Courses will run typically every 6-8 weeks, and the order of the modules can be subject to change.

For new starts on the higher programme there are an additional 2-3 workshops over the duration of the apprenticeship, these are 1 day each.

Baltic Training do not deliver training in isolation. In addition to the experience gained through meaningful employment you will develop key business skills which will strengthen your employability within any chosen path.
