Cyber Security Risk Analyst Higher at Baltic Training

Course description

The primary role of a Cyber Security Technologist is to apply an understanding of cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls, measures and mitigations to protect organisations systems and people. With a focus on risk analysis, all people in this occupation work to achieve required security outcomes in a legal and regulatory context in all parts of the economy. They develop and apply practical knowledge of information securityto deliver solutions that fulfil anorganisation’srequirements. Those focus on the risk analysis side focus on areas such as operations, risk, governance & compliance.

This programme is at Level 4.

Course Content: 

  • Cyber Security Introduction
  • Network & Digital Communications Theory
  • Risk Assessment
  • Security Case Development and Design Good Practice
  • Governance, Organisation Law, Regulation and Standards

Apprentices will also complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) which includes: External Assessment, Synoptic Project, and Interview.

The training is delivered using a variety of methods, including Online Live, workshops and self study. You will receive assessor contact every 6 weeks which will be a full progress review, we encourage all managers and mentors to participate in this progress review.

Towards the end of the apprenticeship the assessor will provide final contact sessions to prepare you for EPA. Courses will run typically every 10-12 weeks, and the order of the modules can be subject to change.

The exams associated with the apprenticeship will be delivered in the nearest test centre.
