Babington are specialists in offering work based learning through the apprenticeship scheme. The main areas our courses cover include; Business and Administration, Customer Service and Accountancy. We also offer higher level qualifications, which you can move onto after completing your initial qualifications.

The apprenticeship scheme is currently being funded by the government meaning you can complete a qualification gain work experience and earn a wage all at the same time. Our college asks employers to pay learners at least £100 per week as a minimum although this is usually increased as you progress within a company. You must be in full time relevant work to complete your course with Babington, and so to help you onto the career ladder Babington also tries to help you to find employment although we do ask that you also apply for jobs.

Many of our learners achieve a permanent job after completing the apprenticeship with their employers and go on to become Managers and Supervisors within the company soon after completing their course.

One of the services that is provided to all students is the use of a monitor, this is a member of Babington staff that visits each student in the workplace and can be used to help resolve any issues that may affect a student at work or college, they are also there to talk to about any personal or welfare issues that you may have. We appreciate that the change from full-time education into full-time employment is a big change and we want to make this transition and easy as possible for both the student and their employers.
