Welcome to Interplay Leeds.

About us

Our tutors all have industry experience, giving you access to skills and knowledge that you couldn’t learn in a classroom. They’re not just great tutors, they’re also professionals who are passionate about their work and about helping you get into what you’re most in to in!

They also bring a huge range of contacts to the course – for example, our Tools for the Trade learners have been commissioned by BBC Raw Talent to produce weekly slots for the show which is broadcast across the region.

We also have exclusive access to work placements with companies that are notoriously difficult to get in to. This type of experience looks amazing on a CV and opens doors to opportunities that could really take you somewhere exciting with your life!

Additional support

Our thinking is simple - you work with professionals and you learn the skills to become professional too! We will create an individualised learning plan with you - you tell us what you're into and we support you to gain experience, skills and accreditation in that.

We work in small, relaxed groups in a facilities that are used by the pros, so you don't feel like you're in a classroom. We have green rooms where you can chill out, and our people are always on hand to offer advice about your work and tell you about their experiences of starting out.

Learner success

What next?

Previous learners who have been involved in our Tools for the Trade programme have gone on to study at Leeds College of Music (Popular MusicCourse), Leeds Metropolitan University (BA (Hons) in Performing Arts) and a host of other further and higher education courses.

They have also been involved in loads of other arts based events and we continue to support their development as artists. One learner now even works for us as a tutor and musician!
