Personal Guidance Tutor
When you enrol for your chosen course you will be allocated a personal guidance tutor who will offer you guidance and support throughout the while of your studies at Outwood Academy Adwick. They will meet with you regularly once a week in a guidance lesson.
In conjunction with your guidance tutor we have a range of other support mechanisms to help you get the most from your time with us. These include: Skills Support, Student Advisers and Connexions.
A further aspect to the support we offer our students is our open door policy. Wherever possible/reasonable we aim to ensure you can access your guidance tutors, teachers and the Sixth Form Learning Manager- because we know sometimes you need to see us outside of your normal lessons.
Our Enrichment programme is second-to-none and was praised by HMI. We offer a personalised curriculum with an extensive range of courses. Because we are part of the Northern Corridor Federation, the number of courses is growing annually. We work with you and your parents to select the most appropriate courses according to your ability and career preference.
