About us

Established in 1967 Bradford Training Association Limited trading as BTAL (UK) Ltd has been delivering apprenticeships within a broad range of local member companies for over 40 years.

Specialising within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction and Motor Vehicle industries, BTAL currently represents approximately 120 employers, employing 200 apprentices throughout the Bradford, Keighley and surrounding areas. These employers are involved in a broad range of business activities resulting in a wide variety of career opportunities being available to young people entering their industries through Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship programmes.
Successful applicants are employed by member companies and paid the rate for the job throughout their apprenticeship providing a high calibre alternative to full time education at school or college with the opportunity to ‘earn while you learn’.
Operating from our offices in Bradford (BTAL) and Keighley (KADTAL) we assist our member companies to recruit, support and train apprentices through to successful completion of nationally recognised qualifications. The apprenticeships are a blend of appropriate practical skills and technical knowledge which are developed through practise in the workplace and attendance at college.
Through our highly qualified and experienced staff BTAL takes a sincere interest in meeting the needs of our learners and employers, engaging with each individual in order to provide professional help, advice and support whenever and wherever required. Our aim is to produce skilled for the future, able to meet tomorrow’s challenges as well as those of today.
Opportunities for progression and further career development beyond the apprenticeship are good. Many learners are encouraged to undertake additional training and education and there are many examples of apprentices that have progressed into key technical or management positions.
