Welcome to Grange Technology College
Grange Technology College is a Community School in South Bradford. It is currently over-subscribed and serves over 1800 students (with over 300 in the sixth form) from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds. The majority of students are of South Asian heritage.
The school is very successful and held in high regard both locally and nationally. Through a relentless concentration on improving teaching quality, assessment for learning and outstanding student support Grange has become one of the highest performing schools in Bradford and the country.
In November 2007 Ofsted described Grange as an outstanding school. We have been a specialist Technology College since 2001, have "high performing specialist school" status and a second specialist role as a Training School which increases our ability to develop excellence in learning across the college and demonstrates the Government's confidence in the high quality of staff and training at Grange. In November 2009 we were awarded a third specialism as an Applied Learning College.

Grange Technology College is a safe, secure and successful 11-19 school committed to providing the highest standard of education and qualification for every student. High achievement is our priority and we understand the importance of a positive, caring ethos where the ability of every student is recognised, developed and rewarded.Our students are successful at all levels - from year 7 to the Sixth Form. Our students make exceptional progress - we consistently achieve value-added scores which are amongst the highest in the country and this has been recognised by Ofsted, the Specialist Schools Trust and the DfES. Many of our students go on to University and progress to successful professional careers.We are proud of being .....the only Bradford secondary school to receive the government's School Achievement Award three years running for our excellent results;..... recognised by the DfES as a 'high-performing specialist school'..... identified by Ofsted as a 'particularly successful school' in their 2004 Annual Report.The college has been extensively remodelled and enlarged to accommodate 1800 students. There are purpose-built specialist rooms in many subject areas including Technology, Science and Music, as well as a dedicated Drama studio. Our excellent suite of ICT rooms, library and Learning Resource Centre, with more than 750 modern computers, gives students controlled access to a wide range of software and the internet. Sixth Form students have their own study areas. The college is well resourced for students with disabilities. We have a Designated Special Provision unit, a Learning Support Centre and Behaviour Improvement Centre. Within our grounds we have a full-sized Astroturf, floodlit football and hockey pitch, as well as extensive grassed areas. The College also enjoys exclusive daytime use of the Grange Sports Centre which includes a well-equipped sports hall, gymnasium, squash courts, a movement room and weights room
Grange has 14 science labs, eight specialist Design and Technology workshops, Music and Drama studios, 15 specialist ICT resource bases and Learning Resource centres and more than 850 modern computers, both laptop and PCs giving controlled access to the best learning opportunities available.
We are part of phase 2 Building Schools for the Future and the new build is currently under construction.
The college is well resourced for students with disabilities. We have Designated Special Provision for students who are within the autistic spectrum, a Learning Support Centre, a Special Education Needs Base and Behaviour Improvement Centre.
As part of our support we offer extra lessons and residential trips for gifted and talented students. Our excellent Special Education Needs department is supported by specialist classroom assistants. We provide additional study opportunities before and after school and in the holidays, with access to our first-class facilities.
