Welcome to Immanuel College

Welcome to Immanuel College

Immanuel first opened in September 2000 moving into its superb new buildings in the beautiful setting of semi-rural Idle. There are currently around 1200 students on role with approximately 170 students post 16. We provide a stimulating, culturally diverse learning environment and pride ourselves on the personal support given to students to help them achieve their best. The school aims to provide an education of real breadth through the subjects which are taught. We aim to see students developing enquiring minds, working with a sense of purpose towards future goals.

About us

Immanuel first opened in September 2000 moving into its superb new buildings in the beautiful setting of semi-rural Idle. There are currently around 1200 students on role with approximately 170 students post 16. The expectation is that the post 16 provision will continue to expand as the college develops. Immanuel offers a wide range of extra curricular experiences for our students including residential visits abroad, a very active and successful creative and expressive arts faculty, excellent ICT facilities and extensive playing fields. Immanuel is a school with a committed staff who enjoy working together to drive forward improvement. The professional development of our staff is important to us. The school has an exciting future. We are also a voluntary - aided Church of England school. Our Christian ethos is very important to us and creates a supportive and caring environment for both staff and students. The school is supported in its work by two full time chaplains who have close ties with all the members of the Immanuel community.
