At The Leeds United Foundation, we use sport to help you learn valuable skills that will help you in the world of work or in further and higher education. About us

Working with the Leeds United Foundation allows learners to experience a real working environment with access to specialist facilities and staff acroos a wide range of job roles.

Leeds United plays a key role in developing the game across and beyond the City of Leeds through The Leeds United Foundation Programme.

The Leeds United Foundation is a not for profit, grass roots sports charity, that exists to deliver targeted, high quality programmes that have a real and measurable positive impact on and which nurture the relationship between, the club, its fans and its communities. 

The scheme delivers a wide range of sessions, courses and programmes within a broad based portfolio, designed to engage whole communities in the culture of the game. The programmes include sports participation, health, social inclusion and educational programmes for children in and around the Leeds area.

Facilities available

The Leeds United Foundation delivers courses at the Leeds United Learning Zone with the Elland Road Stadium. We also have access to facilities at the Thorp Arch Training Complex and specialist areas within the stadium. Most of our programmes include physical activities and coaching opportunities so we frequently visit sports centres and outdoor areas.

Some post 16 learners are entitled to a bursary to support their learning. Ask for application details.

Learner success

Learners have a good rate of success and our programmes with several learners going on to apprenticeships or other employment with the club.

For learners demonstrating high levels of achievement there is the potential to progress to full time or part time employment within our community coaching structure in the longer term.
