About us

Choosing where to study after you have completed your GCSEs is an important decision. Students thrive in varied learning environments, so it is worth taking time to think about what is right for you and to ask other people, including current New College students, about their experiences and successes. New College Telford is bigger than a school sixth form and can offer all the benefits of studying at a college that specialises in advanced level education. Students really appreciate the adult environment, the excellent learning resources and our considerable experience in ensuring that students achieve their full potential. At the same time, we are not too large, so you will find it easy to make friends and get to know your teachers and subjects well.

Teachers specialise in their subjects and in the advanced level curriculum. Most will have higher degrees in their chosen subject area, will be examiners, or have recent industry or professional experience. They will develop an understanding of how you learn best and will support you every step of the way. They will support you in gaining a deep understanding of your subjects.
