The strong relationships we foster with local schools allows us to tailor the curriculum to each student’s needs so that no-one gets left behind meaning all can be catered for.

We are determined to provide the very best education experience for all of our students so that everyone leaves us with qualifications that can open many doors. Over 80% of our students gain their places at University with a growing proportion of students joining high quality apprenticeships with companies like British Aerospace, Deloitte and ITV. The excellent care and support for each child enables this to happen as each student’s destination is well thought out.

Finham Park Sixth Form is proud of its reputation as a highly successful academy, supporting students towards achieving their aspirations by providing them with a challenging, engaging curriculum and a broad range of opportunities. We fully embrace the philosophy of holistic education which focuses on developing the whole person. The introduction of ‘Core Aims’, a full programme of enrichment opportunities and the ‘Finham Internship’ demonstrate our commitment to personalising your education and experience at Finham Park Sixth Form.

By selecting a ‘Core Aim’ on entry to the Sixth Form, we can build a programme of study personalised to your needs. The courses you study, the enrichment you undertake, the work related learning you select and the extended learning you do will all support that core aim. Your core aim could be your favourite subject, a chosen field of interest or the course you wish to study at university. Whichever you choose, Finham Park Sixth Form is devoted to helping you achieve your aim.

We offer a range of opportunities beyond the curriculum, including student leadership, conference days, school trips, Young Enterprise, societies, university visits and much more!

Facilities available

Time will be given for you to explore a variety of new, enriching experiences that range from Racquet Sports, Fitness, Swimming and Archery to Climbing, First Aid, Cake Decorating and Current Affairs. In fact, there are over 20 different enrichment opportunities available to you across the year.

The facilities offered to our Sixth Form students are outstanding. Last year, T Block became a new addition to our facilities, providing students with state-of-the-art ICT equipment, study zones and dedicated teaching rooms. This is in addition to the current ICT suite available in the common room, the library which is available for quiet study, and Fitness Suite which is open after school. This year, we have completely refurbished the Sixth Form common room and will provide a ‘Grab ‘n’ Go’ takeaway service available only to Sixth Form students within the Sixth Form block itself.
