Welcome to Parkside Sixth

An international education in the heart of Cambridge. A flexible, personalised course. Excellent facilities, teaching and partnerships. These are reasons why we believe that Parkside Sixth is an inspiring choice for you as you move on to advanced studies.

At Parkside Sixth we offer a varied experience, where you can play to your strengths while maintaining a balance of subjects which will stand you in good stead for your future. Whether your passion lies in performing arts, the sciences, humanities or languages, our courses give you flexibility to choose.

With campuses in the very centre of Cambridge, Parkside Sixth gives you access to all the possibilities that the city offers, and our partnerships with organisations like The Junction, the Arts Picturehouse and Addenbrooke’s mean that you will be able to work with expert professionals as you follow your chosen pathway.

We are more than just Cambridge. As a member of Parkside Sixth, you have access to a global community of learners through our partner colleges in four different continents and through membership of the International Baccalaureate Organisation. If you choose to take the IB, you will have a qualification that opens up university study the world over, while if you major in BTEC you will have the same chances to get to know students internationally.

Because Parkside Sixth is new, we have state of the art facilities newly completed, such as our performing arts centre and science labs. The location of the Eden Centre, near the Grafton Centre, Midsummer Common and the Grand Arcade, means that all of the city centre’s amenities are close by.

Your expert tutors at Parkside Sixth will provide you with teaching of outstanding quality, while you will form a close partnership with your learning mentor, who will be a critical friend to support and challenge you during your time with us.

We want to give you the chance to develop your leadership through the opportunities on offer, taking a lead in your CAS programme (Creativity, Action, Service) and co-ordinating extra-curricular activities both for the sixth form and the wider Parkside Federation community.

Additional support

Your closest professional relationships at Parkside Sixth will be with your subject tutors and learning mentors.  The former all hold the expert qualifications necessary to deliver your course and are passionate about their subjects.  The latter are there to guide you through your time at the sixth form, helping you to manage your workload, to make the most of your time here and to prepare you for the future.
