Welcome to Trinity School
In 1968, the Carlisle Grammar School, the Creighton School for Boys and the Margaret Sewell School for Girls joined together to form Trinity School. Even since then, there have been substantial changes to the buildings, and to our character, as we have become a Language College and the focus for Adult Education in the city. Trinity has a dynamic, creative and successful Sixth Form. The 'college within a school' is the largest Sixth Form Centre in Cumbria, and offers a range of courses unparalleled in the area. The Sixth Form Centre has a tradition of welcoming students from outside the school, and has also played host to a number of foreign exchange students. Over 130 students go on to Higher Education each year, with students getting places at the top universities in the UK, and on courses for medicine, dentistry and veterinary science. The pastoral system is caring and supportive, with dedicated Student Managers for each year group. All students are encouraged to get involved in extra curricular activities, which include trips abroad (in the past students have visited Paris, Prague and Venice), drama and musical productions, sporting competitions, debating society, Young Enterprise, Student Council and charity fundraising. Please contact the Sixth Form Centre if you would like any further information and we will be happy to help.
