Welcome to Smith's Wood Sports College

Thank you for your interest in joining our sixth form.

At Smith's Wood we aspire to be an outstanding college with high expectations and high aspirations for everyone. We are proud of the many successes of our students that choose to study with us in Year 12 and 13 who then are fully equipped to secure positive employment positions, with many others moving onto apprenticeships or continuing their studies at other colleges. We are very proud that an increasing amount of our students are now securing university places across the country and are fulfilling their dreams in their chosen fields of study.

Every student at Smith's Wood is valued and encouraged to give their best, both academically and personally. This is promoted through the spiritual, moral, social and cultural values of the learning environment and opportunities that are offered to them.

As well as working with you to develop and challenge your knowledge and understanding of your chosen subject areas, we offer a very strong support network, where you will have a personal tutor and have access to our experienced mentoring team. This support is truly second to none.

To complement the learning experience, we offer a wealth of wider opportunities by offering  work experience placements, financial advice, careers advice, as well as taking part in university master-classes and providing opportunities to develop the wider life skills that are required for the world of work.

We are both incredibly proud of our college and its community and we are relentless in our dive and ambition to improve the outcomes for all who choose to join us on our journey. We hope that you like what you read and that you chose to take the first steps in joining the Smith's Wood Team.
