About us

Kingsbury Training Centre is based in Erdington, Birmingham. We have been training young people since 1981.

We are a not for profit company limited by guarantee established to support the positive progression of disaffected and disengaged young people in north Birmingham, the majority of whom come for disadvantaged and deprived communities.

Facilities available

Our Facilities include Bricklaying, Carpentry, and painting workshops; Hairdressing salon; a Gym; Two ICT Suites; Functional Skills Classrooms and a Canteen.

Additional support

Many of our young people are schools excluded or were previously NEET (not in education, employment or training.) We provide life and social skills development as well as pre-employment support to help raise their motivation, aspirations and commitment to stay in education and/or to progress into employment.

We are particularly committed to developing their inter-personal, social and citizenship skills and to support them to avoid anti-social behaviour or entry into the criminal justice system.

We have been financially supported by Birmingham City Council, the learning and Skills Council and philanthropic charities and Foundations.
