We have two campuses and our Construction Centre which all offer different experiences. It will depend on which course you choose as to where you will study.

An apprenticeship is a fantastic way to learn as it opens doors into your desired industry; you are actually there living the job but learning at the same time.

Support for learners
At Rotherham College we have a range of services and support to help you stay on track with your course and help you to overcome any obstacles you may face.
 
Student services
Our Student Support team are here to help you with many aspects of student life by
providing:
• Advice and guidance on a range of personal and welfare issues, including health
and relationships
• Financial support to those who are entitled, and advice to those who are not
• Careers and progression guidance
• Work experience opportunities
• Support with your UCAS application and helping you build an understanding of the support available for Higher Education
• Enrichment activities and events
 
Safeguarding
The College is dedicated to ensuring children, young people and vulnerable adults are protected from harm. Our aim is to educate and promote personal responsibility for safety, health and well-being. When there are situations that need our intervention then the team of highly trained staff act quickly, involving outside agencies when necessary to ensure students are safe.
 
Throughout your course, the Student Support team will help you to overcome any obstacles and prepare you for a successful future.
 
Opportunities for learners
You can also contribute to the College by becoming a learner representative,
influencing how we operate, or becoming a Student Ambassador, gaining work
experience while being paid to promote the College at our events and activities.
 
Other facilities
To support you when studying at the College we offer a full range of facilities, including Libraries, Common Rooms, IT Helpdesk, free WiFi, shop and print facilities, food services, various social seating areas and Reflection/Prayer rooms.
 
Additional Learning Support
If you would like additional learning support we have a dedicated team who
can agree your tailored plan of support. We support students linked to a wide range
of qualities including dyslexia, attention disorders, autistic spectrum conditions,
mental health difficulties, medical conditions or people with physical or
sensory requirements. Our aim is to ensure we do everything we can to help you
access student life and achieve on your course.
 
Our dedicated and specialist teams will support you by assessing your learning and educational needs and agreeing a support plan with you to help you make the most of your chosen learning opportunity. This may include adjustments to teaching, one-to-one support, workshops, in class, in small groups or assistive technology - whichever suits you best.

The College prides itself on the specialist expertise we have and we are also able

Financial Support
To take the financial pressures off you while studying at Rotherham College we have a number of financial support schemes in place to help you.

Support for Success
If you are studying with us and have a household income that is under £25,000 per
year you could be eligible for financial support. Some support may be in the form of vouchers. You may be entitled to receive help with the cost of:
• Travel
• Equipment costs
• Childcare costs
• UCAS application
• Meals at College
• Tuition and exam fees
• Other associated study costs
 
You will need to complete an application form available on our website or from Student Services reception. Enhanced Young Persons Fund You could receive our 16-18 Enhanced Young Persons Bursary worth £1,200, broken down into travel, equipment, meals and a weekly bursary if you are:
• In care
• A care leaver
• In receipt of Income Support (means tested benefit in your own right)
• Disabled and in receipt of Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance
