Welcome to St Peter's Catholic School and Specialist Science College

St Peter's Sixth Form was added to the main school in 1994 enabling us to care for students from age 11 to 19. It' reputation has grown into  a 6th form that develops thinkers and learners.  It is our aim to help students to be the best they can be.

Students go on from us to a whole range of higher education courses and employment.  We are as proud of those who go straight in to employment as those who go to Oxford, cambridge or to the best medical schools.

We are ambitious for every student and encourage challenge whether it is in travelling to a new country or looking at details of a complex idea.  At St. Peter's we aim to develop in every ordinary pupil his or her extraordinary potential.

Our students can become tutors for pupils with learning difficulties, mentors for younger students and often work in partner primary schools.  They can act as subject tutors alongside subject teachers.  Work Experience, fieldwork and even 'famine lunches' all occur regularly.
