Welcome to De Lisle College
We welcome applications to the sixth form from students who wish to pursue a rigorous academic programme of 3 or 4 A levels. Students will be given the support and guidance from their tutor, the Head of Sixth Form and Assistant Head of Sixth Form whilst being encouraged to develop as independent learners.
De Lisle was built to cater for the catholic students in Leicestershire. Our catchment area which stretches from Ibstock to Melton contains 7 feeder primary schools. Students from other denominations and other world religions are welcome at De Lisle but all students have to comply with our admissions procedures. This applies to Year 6 into Year 7 and Year 9 into Year 10, where applications have to be made initially to County Hall, followed by an application directly to De Lisle. For entry at Post 16 students should contact Mr J Mumford, Head of Sixth Form
The Sixth Form Centre has three dedicated study areas with computer facilities on the first floor of the main building.
All sixth form lessons take place in main school classrooms and laboratories and sixth form students are encouraged to use the school's dining facilities at break and lunch time.
There is also an internet cafe available solely for sixth form students to use during their independent learning time, break and lunch time.
In addition to the sixth form pastoral team, the Learning Support Department will assist students with SEN requirements, the Exams Officer wil help with exam entries where necessaryand special arrangements for exams.
