Welcome to De Lisle College

We welcome applications to De Lisle College Sixth Form, a buzzing, friendly place where we believe, students are given the best opportunities to succeed. Students regularly cite the welcoming and nurturing atmosphere as one of the best reasons to come here. The relationship you have with your teachers will be one of mutual respect but be prepared to be challenged constantly to achieve your best in all that you do.

The College holds an ‘Into the Sixth Form Evening’ in November, where prospective students can find out more about the courses avaliable. Individual tours of the Sixth Form are also avaliable at other times of the year - please contact us to request one.

About us

Being in the Sixth Form is about making the best of every opportunity to realise your goals, whatever they may be – a place at  university or college, an apprenticeship, a gap year or something in the world of work. When you join De Lisle Sixth Form, you are on the right path to taking the first step to wherever you want to be.

Although De Lisle is a Catholic college, everything we do is based on the underlying principle of respect for everyone and all students who can share this basic principle are very welcome.

An absolute must for the driven student is to engage with all opportunities provided by the school, whether in class or as extra-curricular activities. We believe that taking an active interest in the wider De Lisle community prepares you for your role as caring, responsible and ambitious citizens of the future.

Facilities available

The Sixth Form Centre has three study areas with computer facilities for independent work, as well as a dedicated internet café where you can work and socialise, with drinks and snacks readily available throughout the morning and at lunchtime.

Additional support

In addition to the sixth form pastoral team, the Learning Support Department will assist students with SEN requirements, the Exams Officer will help with exam entries and, where necessary, special arrangements for exams.

Each year group has a dedicated Year Progress Leader.  There is a part time Administrator for the sixth form as well as a Post-16 Careers Coordinator to support with university and apprenticeship applications.

The college also has a full time Chaplain to support its work as a Catholic community.
