Welcome to Craven Pupil Referral Service

About us

We are an 11-16 'short-stay' school, supporting the young people of Craven who face difficulties in attending mainstream school. We offer Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum programmes of study, as well as personalised packages of support at KS4 for those with a particular need - this includes Outdoor Education programmes, Work-Related Learning and Careers Education Guidance. We are based in Skipton and actively work with our 8 partner schools across North and South Craven. We have Inreach pupils who attend either full or part-time (in combination with Home Schools), Outreach pupils, where we go to the schools themselves to provide support programmes to pupils, and Medical pupils, who receive our teaching support, either at home or at our central base. We aim to be a Centre of Excellence and provide both academic and personal success for our pupils. We achieve this by addressing disaffection and providing stimulating experiences to re-engage our pupils with education. Our shared ultimate goal is to return pupils successfully back to mainstream schools or to help secure equally successful college placements.
