With currently over 500 students, The Arthur Terry Sixth Form is the West Midlands' largest school based sixth form. It is the normal progression route for over two thirds of our Yr 11 students each year. Arthur Terry Sixth Form also offers places to joining students from over 40 different secondary schools.

The vast majority of our post 16 students go on to University having taken three or four ‘A' levels in two years. We prepare students to gain entry to a range of Universities, including the Russell Group, 1994 Group and Oxbridge Universities. Students receive support from a dedicated team of staff and from visiting speakers who complement the school's own programme to support university applications.

Entrance to the sixth form is by application. We stipulate that students must have a main school record of hard work, good attendance and behaviour. Detailed information about courses and entry requirements are published in our Sixth Form Prospectus. We welcome applications from students from other schools and we are joined each year by many students from all parts of Central and North Birmingham, Walsall and South Staffordshire.

We are proud of the wide range of social and cultural activities available to our sixth form - and achievements in areas like Art, Music, Sports and Drama, which match the high academic performance at ‘A' level. All students are expected to participate in at least one enrichment activity each year. This year, there are programmes in Leadership training, coaching and mentoring.
At Arthur Terry, the sixth form is very much a core part of school life, as shown by the contribution made by the sixth formers to the development and welfare of hundreds of lower school students through mentoring, in-class support and through the vertical tutoring and house system.
Our sixth form is friendly, welcoming and purposeful. By encouraging hard work and a constructive contribution to the running of the school we strive for an adult atmosphere in which freedom and responsibility are evenly balanced.
