Welcome to Darwen Aldridge Community Academy

Thank you for your interest in the Sixth Form. If you choose to join the Class of 2015, we shall do everything we can to help you achieve the self-confidence, social awareness, skills and qualifications which will benefit you throughout your life. We shall respect you as an individual, encourage you to make your own decisions and take responsibility for your own learning. You will also enjoy a learning environment designed to engage, inspire and challenge you and, with the support of your progress tutor and teachers, help you fulfil your potential.

If you missed our open evening in November, we will be very pleased to arrange private guided tours for students and parents at any time by appointment. We hope you will like our unique blend of warmth, friendliness, opportunity and challenge, quality and achievement, and that you will make the Sixth Form your first choice for September 2015.

Great reasons why you should join us in 2015:

Excellent Results

100% pass rate with 52% A*-B grades and an overall average point score per subject equal to a grade B. Our positive value added score means our students significantly exceed their predicted grades based on GCSE results. All this makes us one of the best performing state-funded Sixth Forms in the North West.

Ofsted

Graded as Good by Ofsted in January 2013 and aiming to become Outstanding by 2015.
