Welcome to Bournville College. In 2017 we merged with South & City College Birmingham to become one of the region’s largest colleges, teaching over 22,000 students collectively.
Our £66 million campus in Longbridge offers a vast range of courses, including Apprenticeships, BTECs, NVQs, A Levels, Higher Education courses and many more. Students benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities, industry standard equipment and the latest technology enabling our students to learn and develop skills for their future careers.

Our £66 million state-of-the-art campus spans 4.2 acres of land and is here to serve as many as 15,000 students. Longbridge train station creates an excellent link between the our main campus and areas further afield such as Redditch, Erdington and Sutton Coldfield.
In 2015 Bournville College opened a cutting edge two-storey, 30,000 square feet purpose built Construction centre. The centre comprises of workshops for plumbing, brickwork, gas and new technologies, electrical, painting and decorating as well as ACS Gas Test Centre, dedicated computer suite and six theory rooms.
More recently in 2018 we opened a state-of-the-art engineering centre which trains students in mechanical and electronical engineering. The workshops are equipped with industry standard equipment such as grinding machines, drilling machines and lathes to help train aspiring engineers in the skills they need for the industry.

We have over 150 classrooms at our new campus. These are equipped with the latest technology, including Smart boards and computers. For more specialised subjects, we have classrooms and workshops featuring industry standard equipment such as Mac computers in media suites, Pro Tools software in music studios, microscopes and other equipment to perform scientific experiments, art and photography studios for art students to name a few. We also have over 20 cars and a number of motorbikes in motor vehicle maintenance workshops, training salons for hair and beauty well placed within our commercial salons of Urban Elegance and Urban Serenity, as well as kitchens and Karibunis restaurant for those studying catering and hospitality.
Located at the very heart of the College, this fantastic facility offers over 300 computers with the latest software, thousands of books on all subjects, e-learning materials, journals and magazines, internet access and expert staff to help you with your research, assignments and coursework.
Linking the Learning Resource Centre to the main building is ‘The Street’ the place where everything happens. This is the hub of the college, with a refectory ‘Zest’, Go! Sasa deli bar as well as Starbucks Café. Our contemporary restaurant Urban Flavours offers a more formal dining experience.
Urban Serenity and Urban Elegance
Spreading over two floors, our hair and beauty salons feature the latest industry standard equipment where you can enjoy relaxing therapies, makeovers or having your hair styled in the latest fashion.
Our fitness centre Urban Fitness accommodates 70 fitness stations and features a sauna and a steam room too. Monthly membership is £19.95 (discounted rates are available to Bournville students). The extensive sports hall has courts suitable for basketball, netball, badminton and five-a-side football.
