Welcome to Hampton Sixth Form

Welcome to the Hampton Sixth Form.

From September 2018 our Post 16 provision will be run jointly between Hampton College and Hampton Gardens School. Most students will continue to be based and taught at Hampton College.  However, some courses will also be taught on the new Hampton Gardens campus from this year.

Hampton College opened in 2005 and has grown steadily each year since then. The school and Sixth Form have enjoyed significant success in recent years, both in terms of recognition from OFSTED (four full inspections all Good or Outstanding) and in our public examination results.

Our 2017 A level and vocational course results were excellent and we expect to be placed in the top 10% of school sixth forms in the country, based on valued added calculations, when the final scores are published.  In 2017, 90% of all BTEC courses were awarded Distinction * or distinction and 47% of all A-Level results graded A*-B. 74% of students in Year 13 students moved on to Further or Higher Education courses and all other students were accepted on to Apprenticeships or have found full-time employment.

Hampton Gardens School opened in 2017 to serve the communities of Yaxley and Hampton East. By using some of the state-of-the-art new facilities on this site, we aim to broaden the choice of courses available to young people in the wider locality. Hampton Gardens School also has a Sixth Form Centre, dedicated Sixth Form ICT facilities and the same catering provider as Hampton College.

The Hampton Academies Trust and its school leaders have considered what we really value in education, which is summed up in our motto: progress, partnership, pride.

Progress

We will work hard to ensure that students receive excellent teaching, that the curriculum is relevant to their needs and that they receive all the support they need to fulfil their potential. We also believe very strongly in the importance of extra-curricular activities such as clubs and visits, as they develop values and qualities that are valuable in later life.

Partnership

We are determined the Hampton Sixth Form will continue to be known for its positive relationships: students work well with each other, and they enjoy good working relationships with staff, with a high level of mutual respect. The Sixth Form aims to develop strong relationships with its community, neighbouring schools, local businesses and universities.

We also work hard to establish a partnership with parents/carers, and to ensure that they feel welcome at our schools, and are fully involved in their son/daughter’s education.

Pride

We expect the highest standards at all times. We want students to be proud of their own achievements and to grow into confident adults. We expect students to be smart and courteous and show that being in the Hampton Sixth Form is something really special.
