As a college, we focus on providing vocational education and training. This means that we are a specialist centre for skills training and employment – getting you ready for the next steps after college. We work closely with the Local Enterprise Partnership to ensure that what we teach on our curriculum matches the skills needed in Stockport, Greater Manchester and beyond, and makes a positive contribution to both you and the economy.
To achieve this we offer a wide range of skills training in areas including motor vehicle, engineering, construction, plumbing, electrical installation, and painting and decorating. We also focus on public services, sport, leisure, hair and beauty, and retail services such as catering, as well as the arts including media, photography, performing arts and graphics. These are providing in fantastic facilities with first class resources and trainers and tutors who are experienced, engaged and active in their field. This allows you, the learner, to be immersed in your subject and get the most relevant and up-to-date learning for your future.
The College also offers a broad portfolio of Apprenticeship programmes for all age groups, as well as a range of professional qualifications.
The College has its own University Centre offering Higher Education courses across a wide variety of subject and disciplines. Many of our students can therefore choose to stay with us to develop their learning even further in their specialist fields of interest, along with many other students who join us from around the Stockport and Greater Manchester area.
