Welcome to Tiffin School

Welcome to the Tiffin School website. Tiffin is a unique, vibrant and exciting school, which inspires students to not only achieve academically, but to develop, as rounded individuals, their talents, skills, interests, personalities and whole character, enabling them to successfully progress in the wider world. With the School being formed in Kingston in 1880, and its origins going back to the seventeenth century, Tiffin has a long history of providing a top class education. Our aim is to offer the opportunity of a Tiffin education to even more young people, which is why since 2015 we have been expanding the School, by increasing our intake to 180 students per year. Although proud of our heritage, Tiffin is also a forward thinking, outward looking, and dynamic institution, aiming to prepare our students for their future lives in our modern society; our conversion to Academy status in 2011, was indicative of our continual desire to further enrich, adapt and improve the educational environment and opportunities that Tiffin School can offer to its students.

About us

Tiffin Sixth Form is a vibrant and intellectually challenging community that offers wonderful opportunities for success. It is a large Sixth Form of about 400 boys, including approximately 35-40% who are new to Tiffin from other schools, and we welcome applicants for Sixth Form places from boys who will achieve good GCSEs. We believe the blend of existing and new students, creates a distinctive and fresh start for all.

We have a proven record of excellent results and high academic achievement, being consistently ranked as one of the best performing state boys’ schools at A Level. We have an outstanding teaching staff of fully qualified specialists in every department, and excellent facilities, including the superb Learning Resources Centre. The academic work is backed up by a full range of high quality wider opportunities. In addition, we provide strong pastoral support and guidance, and a commitment to the overall development of the student into a mature and responsible young man, able to play his full role in the community. Ultimately, these all combine to fulfil the crucial aim of enabling progression into Higher Education, an area where we again have proven experience and success.

Please do read the Course Guide and the other information about the Sixth Form available on this website via the menu at the top of the page or to the right. We look forward to receiving your application for the Tiffin Sixth Form!
