Welcome to Nonsuch High School for Girls

With over 350 students in the Sixth Form, we offer an extensive choice of A Levels taught in excellent facilities by subject experts. Most students in Year 11 join the Nonsuch Sixth Form and we particularly welcome external applicants who wish to study A Levels in the Arts, Humanities or Languages.

Complementing A Levels, all students study the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and some students in addition have the opportunity to study Critical Thinking, developing their skills of analysis and independent research.

Last year our students achieved some outstanding  A Level results. They achieved a pass rate of 100 %, with 88% of all grades at A* to B and 60% A*/A.

16 students have been successful in gaining places at either Oxford or Cambridge and 9 will now be going to university to study Medicine, Veterinary Science or Dentistry.  59 students achieved straight grade A*-As.

Nonsuch Sixth Formers continue their education at some of the most prestigious universities in Britain and to support our students in achieving this, we run an Oxbridge preparation programme as well as extensive guidance on the UCAS process.

The Sixth Form has a strong Pastoral System in which every student is allocated a tutor. Through regular monitoring and reporting procedures, tutors support and challenge their tutees as necessary. They play vital roles in the Induction Process at the beginning of each year and, of course, through the university/careers application process.

Nonsuch is the place to be if you want to develop leadership skills in school. Our Sports Leaders run many clubs whilst for recreation, students can use the adjacent David Lloyd Leisure facilities. Music contributes so much to the life of Nonsuch; Sixth Formers lead the Gospel Choir, sing in Vox Celestes, play in our orchestras and perform at our termly Music Teas and Concerto evenings. Nonsuch Sixth Formers are actively involved in our local community with over 40 students visiting nursing homes, helping with ActivKids (a week of activities for children with autism) and through the highly entertaining RaG week which raises money for charity. The Sixth Form House Captains lead the termly House events in school. The two years in the Nonsuch Sixth Form culminate in the beautiful May Ball organised by the Year 13 May Ball Committee.

Being a member of the Nonsuch Sixth Form gives you the opportunity to stretch yourself academically and to be involved in a wide range of clubs and activities all within a supportive, friendly environment. We encourage you to think creatively, work independently and to develop the life skills necessary for you to succeed in whatever you pursue in the future.
