Welcome to Mossbourne Community Academy

A welcome from Dr Suzanne Lienert, Head of the Clivebourne Sixth Form
I am exceptionally proud to lead one of the most successful, innovative and dynamic sixth form provisions in London. I lead a team of exceptional staff who are experts on the students in their care, including those who have attended Mossbourne Community Academy and, most importantly, those who are new to us and entrust us with the most important two years of their academic life, so far.
One may ask what else is it that makes the Clivebourne Sixth Form stand out from other sixth form provision. It is the consistent rigour that young adults experience every, term, every day and every lesson which leads to outstanding results, year on year. Our alumni secure places at exceptionally demanding universities, year on year. We enable young adults to embark on the next stage of their journey to become medics, dentists, engineers, vets, for example, year on year.  Dedicated staff are in post to tutor and advise students with an interest in the challenging fields of medicine and the STEM subjects.
We pride ourselves in our ability to understand the needs of every young adult in our care. We recognise the unique strengths and aspirations of all students. We foster both independence and the critical thinking skills which can support young adults realise aspirations which may include obtaining places at Oxbridge, one of the Russell Group Universities or at an international university.
At the Clivebourne Sixth Form young adults are regularly exposed to experts from a variety of fields, including universities, industries, politics and the media. Learning goes beyond the classroom and opportunity and confidence is fostered via enrichment programmes, links to industry and the arts. The Clivebourne Sixth Form students have unique access to the Mossbourne Rowing Academy, alumni of which have elected to study in the United States of America in previous years.  Staff deliver the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) which ensures our students stand out amongst the raft of university applicants year on year.  Our Careers Advice and Guidance and our Early Applicants Programme are strengths and areas which are taken very seriously at the Clivebourne Sixth Form. Support is given by discrete teams of experienced tutors who guide and advise young adults through the UCAS programme.
I would like to extend the warmest of welcomes, wish you the very best of luck in your approaching public exams, and hope to meet you personally during the course of the enrolment programme for the next academic year.
