Welcome to Haringey Adult Learning Service (HALS)

This year you will find many new courses and accreditations on offer; courses that put language into relevant and interesting contexts, offer the chance to examine through art the collections at Bruce Castle Museum, and a broader range of courses offering significant opportunities to gain the skills to enhance your employment chances that remain free to those claiming Job Seekers Allowance and some other benefits (any course with the prefix ASB).

A growing number of courses will offer the ability to complement your study from home and within the centre through a new online learning platform. Other courses will support learning using tablet technology.

We deliver our core programme from a high quality, well equipped and accessible centre. We also deliver from a range of venues in the community. You can choose from a wide range of courses that support employability, offer the chance to gain new skills, maintain or improve your wellbeing or simply learn for leisure. We have courses available during the day, evening and weekends. We offer our learners a friendly and supportive environment with assistance from experienced tutors and advisors.

Improve your skills by gaining nationally recognised qualifications in computing, finance, counselling, English and Mathematics. Alternatively you can choose from our exciting range of personal development courses which include creative arts, health and wellbeing, modern foreign languages, introduction to basic IT and many more.
