We have a fully comprehensive intake, and our core purpose is to ensure that every student achieves highly, whatever their starting point, gaining the success they need to become successful citizens of the 21st century. We provide the very best teaching alongside a culture of high expectations for all students and aim to send as many students as possible to the very best universities.

Inspiring facilities

Our Academy is equipped with the most up-to-date technology and resources with the potential to inspire every student in their learning. The facilities are amongst the best in the world, creating a purposeful ethos from the very first day the students arrive with us.

At the heart of the community

The Academy actively seeks the views of parents and carers which are then reflected in the development of the school as a beacon of excellence at the very heart of its community.

High academic standards and expectations

Our curriculum is innovative and personalised, rooted in academic rigour. Our excellent teaching staff create a learning environment that is motivating for every student and will inspire your child to maximise their full potential. Our students are taught how to learn and are expected to share the responsibility for their learning; they are encouraged to think creatively and expected to complete schoolwork and homework to the very best of their ability. And we expect the highest standards of behaviour at all times.

  • foster an exciting and creative learning community, in which all students develop their knowledge, skills and understanding to achieve excellence
  • develop social values of tolerance, respect for diversity and provide opportunities for individual and personalised learning
  • ensure students are prepared for lifelong learning and the world of work in the 21st century.
Committed to student welfare

Stockley Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and we expect all members of staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our aim is to establish an environment where students feel secure, are encouraged to talk, and are listened to when they have a worry or concern.

Parents and carers may also contact us when they have concerns about the welfare or safety of their child. The Designated Senior Members of staff work closely with the pastoral team to support students. Our Child Protection Policy can be downloaded from the right hand column.

Our purpose-built school is equipped with the latest multimedia facilities and learning resources.

Our students enjoy access to a number of ICT suites with the latest technology. Here students have the opportunity to complete their coursework or study independently. Each computer suite is equipped with a range of computers, access to a colour printer and a smart board. In addition, students have access to a number of laptops that they can use in lessons or around the school such as in our atrium.

Within the Art and Design Technology department there are workshops fitted with industry-standard equipment and work benches. Students have access to an art studio with our very own artist in residence who runs right-hand workshops to support students with their coursework or for students to complete enrichment activities such as ceramics or painting. In addition there are food technology rooms where students can work alongside our chef to create exquisite dishes.

Performing Arts have a large drama studio where students have the ability to take part in various school productions. In addition, we have an advanced recording studio in Music and a suite of Apple Macs where students have the opportunity to edit videos and produce high-quality demonstration material.

Within our Sports Department, we have fantastic sports facilities including a state of the art gym equipped with treadmills, cycling machines and weights which students can use within their dedicated PE period. Students have access to the Astroturf and Sports Hall as well and have the opportunity when they are not studying to coach and assist the younger students in PE lessons.

Sixth form students have a designated common room where they are able to exchange ideas and best practices with friends and study together. In addition, there are silent study rooms available including an allocated section in the Learning Resource Centre just for Sixth Form students providing a range of opportunities for continual learning and self-improvement. Here students will find a library of up-to-date prospectuses and booklets about careers and universities.

During lunchtime, Sixth Form students have the opportunity to dine at our impressive restaurant where they have their own section to sit and socialise with friends. In addition, students can sit out in the quadrant and eat their lunch whilst be enjoying the sunshine.

Our lecture style main hall is a versatile resource, which is used widely throughout the year for different events including assemblies and key notes speaker presentations. We believe by providing students with excellent surroundings we encourage an excellent work ethic and the opportunity for students to work to their full potential.
