Welcome to Pimlico Academy

About us

Pimlico Academy is a new all-ability non fee paying school for 11-19 year olds, opening in September 2008, sponsored by Future, a registered charity. The Academy will open within the existing building of Pimlico School. As part of the Building Schools for the Future initiative there will be a complete rebuild and the Academy will move into the new building in stages. There will be a broad and balanced curriculum at the Academy which will cater for the interests and talents of all our students. A wide range of academic and vocational subjects will be on offer which will be strengthened by an extensive range of extra-curricular and extended school activities including mentoring programmes, sports clubs and music lessons. We will make the most of the Academy’s location in the heart of Westminster to make the curriculum more stimulating and enjoyable for students. In particular the cultural opportunities will be used to develop the existing specialism in Visual and Performing Arts and to develop the Academy’s new specialism in History. The Academy will be a warm, caring environment where every student, parent and member of staff feels safe and welcome. We will be creating an outstanding environment for teaching and learning where all staff feel supported and all students are challenged and encouraged to fulfil their potential. There will be an ethos of high expectations of achievement throughout every aspect of the Academy. We expect every student to do their best and we will give them every opportunity possible to help them succeed.
