Welcome to Dover Grammar School for Girls
An Outstanding School (OFSTED2006/ 2007 and 2013/14) Choosing to join the Sixth Form at Dover Grammar School for Girls will guarantee a rounded academic and personal education. The school provides excellent individual support for each student. Our school aims to develop the whole person and encourages Sixth Formers to be active members of the school community.
You will be invited to attend our induction course, Futures Week, from Monday, 24th June to Friday 28th June 2019 if you wish to join our Sixth Form. This week provides valuable insight into the subjects to be studied and helps confirm that they are the
right subjects for you. We welcome applications from students from other schools. Students wishing to join the Sixth Form but not recently resident in this country will need to supply details of all examinations taken and grades received, with information
upon their equivalence within the English system. We would, ideally like applications to be completed by Thursday, 7th February 2019 when planning for the timetable will begin, but applications will be considered after this date. Please note: ·Throughout the
Sixth Form every student studies 4 courses. These courses could be any one of the following:
4 A level Subjects
3 A Levels plus a co-teachable AS
3 A Levels plus a Personalised enrichment Pathway (PEP) course
4 A Levels plus a Personalised enrichment Pathway (PEP) course
You must choose your subjects carefully because the timetable design will be based on these choices and record them in order of preference. We will work on your order of priority when timetabling your subjects. ·Subjects will be withdrawn if there is insufficient demand. ·Every effort will be made to accommodate as many subject combinations as possible.
