Welcome to Hillview School for Girls

Hillview offers one of the broadest curricula in the local area. With specialisms in Performing and Visual Arts, we offer a wide variety of subjects, which include both traditional and vocational courses. From A Levels and BTECs, to Diplomas our range of courses caters for all interests, abilities and ambitions. The entry requirements ensure students are on the right courses so that they can be successful over the two years of study. The majority of students will take three Level 3 qualifications alongside an enrichment programme of Extended Project, Core Maths or Gold Arts Award, combined with supervised study.

General entry requirements:

Grade 4 in English and Maths together with 3 other GCSE grades at grade 4 or above (A*-C) is the minimum requirement to enter Hillview Sixth Form.

Subject entry requirements:

Please note that all subjects have different entry requirements, with academic subjects requiring an average point score between 4.25 and 4.75. This is to ensure that students can embark on the most appropriate courses and succeed in their studies. Please consult our Course Guide for individual subject criteria.

Applications from students out of county or from the independent sector will need to self-register on UCAS Progress website.

About us

We are a long established, mixed Sixth Form with a proven track record of excellent results. This wealth of experience allows us to offer the highest quality provision in a dynamic, stimulating and supportive learning environment.

The school's examination results are excellent and the Sixth Form is hugely popular with both existing Hillview students and those from other schools.

Applications open on Friday 23rd November at 9am!

Our students benefit enormously from clear, comprehensive and impartial careers advice from our full-time onsite Employability and Careers Advisor. This year saw our highest number of university applications to date, with close to 100% of students achieving their first choice of university and many others progressing onto exciting career and apprenticeship pathways.

NB: Entry requirements are subject to change and entry to the Sixth Form may be considered subject to agreed conditions. Hillview Sixth Form reserves the right to tailor an individual student’s programme of study based on their average GCSE  point score and results in specific subjects.  The school decision in these matters is final.  Hillview Sixth Form reserves the right to withdraw unviable courses
