Gaining an apprenticeship will help you to realise your full potential and launch your professional career.

About us

At Total People we recognise the importance for a flexible, individual approach for every learner. Our experienced team work hard to ensure that everyone who passes through our door has the environment and opportunities to reach their full potential. We understand that everyone has different aims and needs and so every learning journey is tailored to achieve outcomes relevant to each individual.

Everyone has to start somewhere when moving into employment and training and it is important to us that each individual is provided with up to date, impartial information, advice and guidance to enable them to make empowered and informed decisions on their futures.

Total People acknowledges that strictly academic study does not suit everyone and so we maintain a good balance of practical, hands on experience, alongside opportunities to build on your functional skills qualifications. We also respect that, as young adults you need to be heard and so provide every opportunity to respond to your feedback to improve and develop.

With established connections with local and national businesses, Total People can ensure that the right Apprenticeship is available to you and that the support, encouragement and assistance available to you when in our centre continues throughout your training.

At Total People we also understand that everyone has a preferred method of establishing contact. For some it’s making a call and for others it’s writing an email. We have many ways that you can contact us to find out more. The more we know about your aspirations the more we can help, so please let us know what you are looking for. However, for those of you that are still undecided on which way to take your career, let us help! We guarantee that even if we cannot help at this time, we’ll assist you in finding the right direction.

Facilities available

At Total People we believe our facilities are second to none and we are constantly talking to our learners for their feedback on what else we can do to improve and develop their learning experience.

Additional support

All our staff are highly trained and experienced in providing support to learners at all levels, from all backgrounds and with all aspirations. We believe in encouraging all learners to recognise their potential and take the time to discuss and action what the individual feels they need, not just what may be needed. We are able to cater for individuals of all levels of ability and ensure that appropriate access is made to ensure equality for all. We believe the key to meeting support needs is flexibility, and work together to promote and celebrate achievement for all. We also ensure we liaise regularly with a wide variety of external agencies to ensure all information and support is recent, relevant and targeted to our learners. We are passionate in our delivery of holistic pastoral care and support with all of life’s difficulties.

Learner success

2011 has been a fantastic year for learner progressions and we have been proud to see so many of our learners move into their chosen vocational areas either as employees or Apprentices. While the majority of our learners find their success through a well chosen placement with us or decide to continue their study at a higher level, we are proud to celebrate so many achievements. This year has also seen a significant rise in the achievement of functional skills, with many learners surprised and happy to have achieved levels in English, Mathematics and ICT that they never thought possible. We must also recognise other achievements that have been brought about through the developing confidence and empowerment of our learners such as passing driving tests, living independently and, for some, personal development. Of course we are thrilled at the achievements within our centre and across all Total People centres, but it wouldn’t be possible without the dedication, commitment and effort or our learners, the fantastic support from external agencies and the generosity, support and guidance from placement companies. The only way any of us can succeed is working together. With Total People now able to deliver qualifications and training to anybody aged 16-25, regardless of employment status, now is a time of growth for Total People – we would like to invite you along to join us!
